Newsletter Sept.2024

1. On this month of September we have had an opportunity to visit our brother Marc Hamminga in Ede Wageningen, NL. participating in a socialization event at Meet-Inn , which is another Stichting taking care with the dak-los and thouis-los. It was an amazing experience to witness how good is that people in need has a reference meeting point in town where they can walk in, socialize, integrate, make contacts and have a nice coup of coffee and a relaxed conversation with the people from the neighbourhood.

2. Apart from it Meet-Inn offers creativity activities, painting classes, drawing, working with clay, doing different workshop everytime. Everyone is welcome, you dont need to be a professional or a Picasso. The ideia is to socialize, intergrate, express yourself through the art work and let your feelings and emotions to come out in a nice and creative group setting in the City.

3. Our Evangelism Team from Sander de Lit has been another fact of our weekly schedule, on saturdays at Dam square, Amsterdam. This way to participate in this Ministry, serving God and proclaming the Name of Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, setting us free from the enemy attacts and schemes, guiding us through the Light from the Holy Spirit is a real blessing and deliverance. This way we have been blessed, serving and blessing others, talking about Jesus Christ, guiding them, informing and praying for their souls and asking the Lord Jesus to take over our efforts to save lives for the Kingdom of God. We enjoy also to eating together, cooking together, praying and worshiping the Lord as a team. In our Evangelism group there are many participant coming people from many different countries and churches, a variety of back grounds and many different cultures. 4. Volunteer Work. As a Volunteer you can help us:

   Working once a month as a team, preparing light meals at a walk-in house or working few days each month for a Christian or a Missionary Organization. Connect with persons or groups in Amsterdam going to different churches or visit someone in need, living at the Refugee Camp or Temporary Shelter. Preparing a group retreat with our pastoral care team every 4 months in NL or support our pastoral care teams and participate in small group’s trainings. Could be also being part of our home bible studies groups and connecting with the ones in need.

5.  Jesus Christ Marching Sept 14, 2024. I was blessed to see how many people came to the Jesus Christ's Parade at the Central Station, and look at so many boats fully loaded of christians doing a water tour, singing and worshiping to the Lord. After two hours tour I saw more than 12 boats coming back to the piers at Central Station, full of happy people still joyfully singing christian songs. After that it was the marching for Jesus Christ iniciated at 04:00 pm, walking with a large group of people, christians,families, coordinators, organizers, leaders, pastors, volunteers, believers, the police was also controlling and protecting the marching. It was a blessed day to the ones who organized this event but was also so beautiful to see how many people are coming and giving their lives to Jesus Christ and are willing to follow Him for the Grace of God. 

6.  Church Visitings:

   This month we have visited the Garden Chuch in Hilversum, spoken with the Pastors and Elders about our Ellel’s Project for Portugal and the vision for Pastoral Care for the portuguese churches.

7. The previous visiting of the month was at the Liberty Church, close to the Vondelpark near Leidsenplein in Amsterdam.  We have participated on the Sunday Service and after that we introduced ourselves and tak with the managing Pastors about our Stichting Nova Alma.
